Project Manager - Virtual Sales Team

Primary Purpose of Position

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Pharmaceutical Project Manager to lead and coordinate the activities of our 17-member virtual sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects related to sales strategies, training initiatives, and operational performance in a virtual environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, expertise in pharmaceutical sales, and a keen ability to manage cross-functional teams while driving results in a remote setting.

Responsibilities 

Project Management:

• Oversee and manage the execution of sales projects for a virtual team, ensuring all tasks are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.​

• Lead the planning and implementation of sales initiatives, including new product launches, marketing campaigns, and sales promotions.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the virtual sales team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.

• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across the virtual team through regular virtual meetings, 1:1 coaching sessions, and motivational initiatives.

• Ensure that all team members are fully trained on project goals, timelines, and expectations.

Communicate & Client Engagement:

• Facilitate communication across client’s multiple departments, such as sales, marketing, regulatory, and medical affairs, to ensure seamless project execution.

• Serve as a liaison between clients’ key contact & senior leadership and the virtual sales team to ensure that priorities and feedback are communicated effectively.

• Coordinate with external partners and vendors, as necessary, to drive project success.

Sales Performance Monitoring:

• Track and analyze the performance of sales projects and provide regular status reports to Remedy internal leadership & clients’ key contact, identifying areas for improvement.

• Develop and implement tools for the virtual team to track sales performance, pipeline management, and customer feedback.

• Identify potential roadblocks and resolve issues in a timely manner to maintain sales momentum.​​

Qualifications & Requirements

•Full-time 40 hours

•BA/BS degree

•Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry

- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a virtual environment

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on detail and quality

• 10 yrs of proven sales experience– Field or Inside Pharmaceutical sales experience required

• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical sales processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and engage remote teams

• Familiarity with CRM databases, statistics, product lines and latest medical issues

• Excellent communication, negotiation and selling skills

• Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills

• High level of adaptability and comfort with virtual communication and collaboration tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
